Kemiönsaari Solar Power Plant

We installed a 2-megawatt solar power plant with a total of 3,598 panels in Kemiönsaari. The main contractor was PlayGreen Finland Oy, and Wisol served as a subcontractor, delivering properly dimensioned mechanics installed on-site and mounting the panels procured by the main contractor.

The Kemiönsaari solar park was built using the screw pile foundation method, meaning the solar park racking system was anchored to the ground using individual screw piles. What made the soil particularly challenging was that the ground is partly old seabed, where the load-bearing surface layer thickness varied from 20 centimeters to 120 centimeters. This resulted in pile lengths ranging from 1.20 meters up to 9 meters.

With Wisol’s screw pile technology, the racks achieved durable and secure anchoring even in challenging soil. Thanks to the hybrid rack, ground anchoring methods can be changed during work if soil variations are detected.

Wisolin kanssa oli hienoa tehdä yhteistyötä tässä projektissa, sillä heillä on erittäin ratkaisukeskeinen asenne työhönsä.

This project was one of our first large-scale solar park projects. It was great to collaborate with Wisol on this project, as they have a very solution-oriented approach to their work. Among other things, the site’s soil posed new challenges for the project, and Wisol was able to bring effective solutions even to the changed situation”, says Miika Korsman from PlayGreen Finland Oy.

”Wisol is a proactive and responsible partner. Additionally, it’s great that they are always reachable and they foster a collaborative culture of mutual feedback. Thanks to our continuously evolving collaboration, we can carry out our projects more smoothly and cost-effectively together.

Our Clients

Wisol and NYAB have jointly launched a large-scale solar power plant construction project in Utajärvi, Northern Ostrobothnia. The exceptionally large solar park covers approximately 150 hectares, equivalent to about 200 football fields.
We installed solar panels for a 100-kilowatt solar energy system on the roof of an industrial hall in Eura. The main contractor for the project was PlayGreen Finland Oy.
Wisol and Solarigo are jointly building a large-scale solar park in Kuortane's Honkisaarenneva. The construction phase began in January 2025, and work is progressing as planned: foundation work is nearly complete, and mechanical and panel installations are advancing rapidly.
